Philadelphia's Main Line has a rich architectural heritage with many outstanding homes. The area can claim some of the finest real estate in the country, including the mid-century modern Main Line properties that extend throughout. The 50' and 60's saw much residential growth on Philadelphia's Main Line and many streets in Gladwyne are filled with mid-century modern homes. These homes, along with some very recently built modern homes, remain prominent throughout Wayne, Radnor, Villanova and Malvern as well. The architect James McElroy was prolific on the Main Line and built an additional cluster of contemorary homes on Valley Forge Mountain in the 60's.
